2) Healthcare Privileges with Partner Hospitals for AIT Employees & Dependents

Dear AIT Family (Faculty & Staff), 
 
We are glad to announce the following privileges for AIT employees and their dependents from the following hospitals: 
 
1. Pat Rangsit Hospital (Link)
        a) 10% discount for selected medicines and rooms for inpatient treatment (when hospitalized)
        b) 10% for selected medicines for outpatient treatment
**This discount does not cover dental fees, childbirth costs, alternative medicine, acupuncture, manual therapy massage, and vaccines.**
 
2. B-Care Hospital (Link)
        a)  20% discount for rooms for inpatient treatment (when hospitalized)
        b)  10% discount for selected medicines for outpatient treatment 
        c)  10% discount on general dental costs (scaling, tooth filling, and extraction).  
        d)  Members of the Social Security can use the dental benefit provided by SS at the maximum coverage of Baht 900 per year.  
        e)  For the treatment of any sickness or work-related accident, the SS member can avail of the workmen's compensation coverage up to a maximum of 50,000 Baht.  To
              claim the workmen's compensation at B-Care Hospital, the SS member should request the confirmation letter from OHRS to be provided to the hospital. 
 
3. Bumrungrad International Hospital (Link
        a) 15% discount on cash payments; 10% discount for credit card payments
         b) 10% discount on dental treatment (excluding orthodontics)

          *Discount applicable towards inpatient rooms, medication, certain laboratory fees, certain medical supply fees, and standard imaging-excludes doctor's fees, chemotherapy, and other specialized 

           test/procedures/medicines. 
          *Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other discount vouchers, promotion or packages.
 
4. Paolo Rangsit Hospital (Link)
       a)  10% discount for selected medicines for outpatient treatment 
       b)  10% discount for dental treatment
       c)  20% discount for rooms for in-patient treatment (when hospitalized)
       d)  15% discount for ambulance car 
 
To avail of these privileges, please present your AIT ID card and either your passport or Thai ID card at the hospital's counter service before your consultation with the doctor. Please continue to use your AIA insurance card; the privilege discount will apply only to the amount exceeding your insurance coverage.

The AIT Library is delighted to invite all students, faculty, and staff to take part in the Library Photo & Video Contests 2025. These contests are a great opportunity to share your creativity, express your experience with the library, and win exciting prizes!

Photo Contest – “Library Through My Eyes”

Capture a moment, space, or story that reflects your view of the AIT Library.

    Eligibility: Open to all AIT members (individual entries only).

    Photo Guidelines:

  1. Maximum  of 3 photo entries per person.
  2. File format: JPEG or PNG, high resolution.
  3. Image size: at least 2,000 pixels on the longest side.
  4. No watermarks or signatures on the image.
  5. The photo must be original and must not infringe any copyrights.
  6. Basic editing (cropping, color correction, brightness/contrast adjustment) is allowed, but photo manipulation (adding/removing elements) is not permitted.
  7. Submission must include a short caption or title (max. 30 words).

Video Contest – Introduce the AIT Library

    Eligibility: Open to students to all AIT members (individual or team entries)

    Content and Guidelines:

  1. Video length: up to 7 minutes.
  2. Content should focus on introducing and promoting the library, such as:
  • Key library services and facilities.
  • Learning spaces and digital resources.
  • Tools and services that support research and innovation.
  • Innovative technologies are used in the library.
  • Inspiring stories, tips, or personal experiences related to library use.
  • Format: Any creative style is welcome (e.g., talking-head, vlog, storytelling, animation, motion graphics, etc.).
  • All videos must be original and must not infringe any copyrights.
  • English only.

    1) Invitation to BRRC upcoming programs, 11-15 July 2025, Chongqing and Chengdu, China

    We are excited to share and invite you to The Second Green Industry Innovation and Development program for 2025 and The 3rd International Forum on Regional Cooperation for Green and Sustainable Development in Mountainous Areas.

    The program and the Forum this year will integrate resources from government, academia, and industry to foster policy dialogue, technology transfer, and project matchmaking. There will be keynote speeches, panel discussions, technical matchmaking, site visits, and cultural exchange for this upcoming programs in both Chongqing and Chengdu, China.

    2) Call for Abstract  “Technological Advancement and Social Innovation for Rural and Agricultural Resilience”

    The 2025 AGLE conference on “Technological Advancement and Social Innovation for Rural and Agricultural Resilience” will be held from 5-8 November 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will include two days of presentations and poster sessions and two days of field trips to rural Thailand.

    This scientific event aims to promote the convergence of scientific knowledge and practical innovation, technological development, and applications for sustainability and resilience. The conference organized by IGU Commission on Agricultural Geography and Land Engineering (AGLE) in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

    The conference will feature high-level, inclusive, evidence-based discussions on the current challenges and priorities related to advancing innovation and technology for long-term rural sustainability, with a focus on contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event offers a valuable opportunity for both early stage and established researchers and practitioners, to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and engage with globally renowned experts in the field. It also provides a platform to enhance participants’ expertise and professional recognition in rural sustainability. The conference fosters cooperation and strengthens collaborative efforts to address rural challenges and promote sustainable development through innovative solutions.

    Greetings from the DRSD 2025 Secretariat for the upcoming 4th International Symposium on Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development (DRSD 2025), organized by the Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management (DPMM) program at AIT.
