1)  Visa Processing Resumption: Acknowledging the Support of MFA and MHESI

Email from AIT President on 24 July 2026

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased to share some very positive news regarding visa processing for non-Thai passport holders.

Following our continued engagement with the Royal Thai Government, the processing of visas along with re-entry visas for AIT's international faculty, staff, and their eligible dependents has now resumed. We expect pending and new applications to be processed in accordance with the established procedures.

This positive outcome reflects the strong support and close cooperation extended to AIT by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) of Thailand. On behalf of the entire AIT community, I extend our sincere gratitude to both Ministries for their invaluable assistance and partnership.

I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to General Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, for his leadership and personal engagement throughout this process. My sincere thanks also go to the members of the Board of Trustees for their steadfast support and advocacy, as well as to the many government officials and individuals whose guidance, commitment, and collaborative efforts contributed to this successful outcome.

AIT greatly values its longstanding partnership with the Royal Thai Government and looks forward to continuing our close collaboration with MFA, MHESI, and other government agencies in advancing our shared commitment to higher education, research, innovation, and regional development.

Thank you once again for your continued dedication to AIT.
