3. Influenza Vaccination for the AIT Community
Email from Office of Human Resources Services on 19 August 2020.
Dear AIT Community,
As part of the Institute’s commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of its community, we have partnered with Paolo Hospital to offer an influenza vaccination program to our AIT Community.
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Most people who get the flu need several days off from work and risk spreading the illness to their family and friends. People with other health problems are also at risk of severe illness which may require hospital care.
The best way to prevent flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year. Vaccination has been shown to have many benefits including reducing the risk of flu illnesses, hospitalizations and even the risk of flu-related death in children.
Paolo Hospital will use Influenza Vaccine 4 Strains 2020. The vaccine costs Baht 500 per person.
Please register via this link if you wish to participate in this program. The deadline for registration is 28 August 2020. Payment can be made at the Cashier - Finance Office located on the ground floor of the Administration Building.
The vaccination is tentatively scheduled for September 2, 8 and 10, 2020 depending on the number of registrants. Other pertinent information will be announced soon.
Protect yourself, your family and those around you by getting a flu vaccine. It’s the best way to protect you and your loved ones from getting the flu.
4. Substitute Holiday for Songkran, 4 September 2020
Email from Office of Human Resources Services on 17 August 2020.
Dear AIT Family,
Following the approval of the Thailand Cabinet, AIT will observe Friday, 4 September 2020 as a special and final public holiday in lieu of the postponed Songkran holidays.
5. Online Performance Appraisal 2020 (covering the period 1 July 2019-30 June 2020)
Email from Office of Human Resources Services
To all immediate supervisors and Unit Directors of direct-hire (centrally-funded) staff members,
Please be informed that the online performance appraisal for this year 2020, covering the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, is now open.
The online system can be accessed through the “PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL” link in the HRIS menu (https://hris.ait.ac.th). The immediate supervisors are able to now complete the individual Performance Appraisal Reports for all employees under their supervision, and submit them individually (electronically). The Unit Heads shall then review and endorse all completed Performance Appraisal Reports not later than 18 September 2020.
The online / web-based system has archived the appraisal results from 2014 (“Appraisal History” link in the HRIS menu) and will build up annual data that will be available to directors / immediate supervisors and AIT Management.
The performance appraisal process will be carried out in conjunction with the annual budget process. These annual performance appraisal results will be used for the purpose of determining the annual salary adjustment and staff training and development needs and will be taken into consideration in preparing the 2021 year budgets.
Should you encounter technical problems, please report them to Helpdesk (helpdesk@ait.asia). Please convey other feedback to HRO (director-ohrs@ait.asia).
