(i) AIT signs a multi-party agreement for Smart City projects in Khon Kaen
On 21 September 2018, AIT has signed a multi-party agreement with five municipalities, and the College of Local Administration of Khon Kaen University for furthering the smart city initiative of Khon Kaen city. The multi-stakeholder agreement includes the municipalities of Khon Kaen and Sila Town; and sub-district municipalities of Muang Kao, Samran, and Tha Phra.
(ii) Opening Ceremony of the Renovated Korea House – Student Center
H.E. Mr. Noh Kwang-il, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Dr. Eden Y. Woon, President of AIT, will preside over the Opening Ceremony of the renovated Korea House – Student Center on Friday, 28 September 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

(viii) Personal data for 2018 Income Tax calculation

To ensure that personal income tax of AIT faculty and staff comply with Tax Regulation, it is imperative that we have a correct record of your personal data in our system. Please log in the web link,
https://hris.ait.ac.th to update your personal data. Use your AIT email account credential to log in then click
“View Employee Profile”. Furthermore, please update or complete your contact information such as the name and telephone number of your emergency contact person.
For employees with children, particular attention is required in the status of your children in the system, check if it is correct. Update the system if they are studying or working either here in Thailand or abroad. Please request to amend as appropriate.
Any changes on your personal data from previous to current year should be supported with documents in hard copies. These include passport copy, marriage certificate, birth certificates of your children as well as receipts of investment in RTF/LTF and personal life insurance.
Please submit it to Khun Denphoom in the Office of the Human Resources Services (OHRS), Room 223, Second Floor of the Administration Building within 2 October 2018.

The objective of the quiz is to create greater awareness and familiarity of Web of Science for students and researchers. (x) Change to WhatsApp Backup in Google Drive

Dear users,
Due to a new agreement between WhatsApp and Google, WhatsApp backups will no longer count against Google Drive storage quota. However, any WhatsApp backups that have not been updated in more than a year will automatically be removed from storage. This policy will go into effect for all users on November 12, 2018 though some users may see the quota benefits earlier.
To avoid the loss of any backups, we recommend that users manually back up WhatsApp before November 12, 2018.

Seismic Resilience for Safer Cities and Infrastructures: 22-25 Nov 2018
Urbanization is one of the major global challenges of this era. To address the issues related to safety of cities and infrastructure, the 7th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering (7ACEE 2018) is being jointly organized by AIT and Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) in collaboration with the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines Inc.
