In this issue:
1 ) Updates from the AIT COVID-19 Task Force
Email from the Director, Office of Academic Administration on 10 September 2021.
Dear AIT Family,
Rapid Antigen Test Kits (ATK) – In relation to the 8 September TF message reporting that a concessionaire staff in 7-11 tested positive for COVID-19, the TF received a query on the rapid antigen test kits (ATK). Those who visited the 7-11 shop from 27 August until 3 September, are now self-isolating and if you are feeling concerned or unwell, you can contact OSA or OHRS who will consider issuing you an ATK. In this regard, please be reminded of the Protocol on testing of AIT community members as communicated in the 4 August 2021 TF message. The categories of individuals for these kits to be provided by the Student Welfare Unit or OHRS are as follows:
Close contacts of positive cases and those showing clear COVID-19 symptoms. A close contact is defined by CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) as someone who was within 2 meters of an infected person for at least 15 minutes within a 24-hour period starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic cases 2 days prior to positive specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.
“Ordinary” Contacts of positive cases may also request for test kits
Anyone who were in a high-risk situation or feel unwell and wishes to have a test to be prudent
