Announcements
AIT listed on the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) website
Since its inception, AIT has been recognized in India and virtually in all other countries. AIT graduates have been able to pursue their doctoral degrees at top universities and work in more than 90 countries around the world. However, as a result of AIT being granted Associate Membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) on 22 May 2015, formal recognition by India may be the first time that AIT has been recognized by a country.
As AIU plays the important role of evaluating foreign degrees and granting recognition, AIT graduates will now be treated with equivalence to all graduates from Indian universities.
Recently, Prof. Nitin Tripathi, who liaised with the AIU, has reported that AIT is already listed on the AIU's website: http://www.aiuweb.org/Members/MembersA.asp
AIT President Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai hopes this can lead to increased interest of more top students from South Asia. Membership will also provide evidence of degree equivalence to employers in all South Asian countries, which will help AIT graduates in the job market.
President Worsak also thanked H.E. Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla of India for his strong support, as well as Prof. Nitin Tripathi, Prof. S. Kumar, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and other faculty from India for playing a key role in securing this recognition.
